Georges Braque (1882–1963) was a French painter, sculptor, printmaker, and designer best known as one of the founders of Cubism alongside Pablo Picasso. Born in Argenteuil, France, Braque began his career influenced by Impressionism and Fauvism before developing the revolutionary Cubist style in the early 20th century. His work explored new ways of representing space, form, and perspective, profoundly influencing modern art. Throughout his long career, he also created still lifes, landscapes, sculptures, and decorative works, becoming one of the most important artists of the modern era.
